Pronounced like gleam (/glēm/).  Glēm is a skin care first cosmetic line. Glem is an inclusive brand creating products for all skin types, shades, and identities. The goal of this project was to create a cosmetic brand that didn’t alter ones beauty, but rather, enhance it.

PRODUCTION

Playing with different typefaces, Glem quickly found it’s foundation utilizing an altered serif typeface. It is apparent from box to box that the logo is the focal point of each design. What started out as a simple packaging assignment, quickly turned into a identity and product development project.

Curating a color palette was instrumental in the development of the brand. The intention to make all boxes the same color enabled the cosmetic line to feel cohesive and uniformed. The idea of using a dusty pink felt misleading, in that the brand stands for non-binary cosmetics. Throughout history pink has a stigma of being feminine. Following non-binary ideals, Glem believes that no color can hold a gender identity.
